1. Information We Collect

We collect personal information directly from you, including:

• Account Data: Name, email address, password hash, and profile details stored via Supabase Authentication.
• Candidate CV Details: PDF or text files uploaded by you, including job descriptions and the raw text parsed from those documents.
• Analytics and AI Matching History: The match scores, recommended CV modifications, and job selections saved under your profile.
• Community Activity: Discussion posts and comments made on our forums.

2. Processing and AI CV Analysis

We use the Google Gemini API to analyze your CV text and compare it against selected job descriptions. This processing is performed on-demand and securely. Google does not store or use your CV contents to train its public LLMs.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

Payment processing for our premium tiers is handled securely via PayFast, a trusted South African payment gateway. Remote Jobs SA does not store credit card details or bank credentials on its servers.

4. Cookies & Authentication

We use secure HTTP cookies to identify logged-in users, maintain your active session, and verify administrator roles. Toggling cookies off may prevent full access to your candidate dashboard.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data only as long as you maintain an active account on the platform. If you wish to delete your account, you can do so in the Profile tab on your dashboard. This will permanently wipe your profile metadata, CV file references, and matches from our databases.
